String Chamber Ensemble

Agnes Scott College String Chamber Ensemble (ASCSCE) is an instrumental ensemble open by audition to ASC students. Duos, trios, quartet, quintet, and sometime string orchestra perform two concerts a year. The primary focus of the course is to study and play works of the heart of chamber string literature. The ensemble has done works by Bach, Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, Schubert, Dvorak, and Shostakovich. ASCSCE is assembled and coached by Dr. Qiao Chen Solomon.  Members of ASCSCE are coached 1.5 hours per week, and are required to schedule their own rehearsals once a week. ASCSCE members are often invited to perform on difference events, both on and off campus.
